Michaela Lisenby is this year’s recipient of the $2,500 Buck White Scholarship, presented in memory of U.S. Army Veteran and Sandhill employee Forrest “Buck” White, who died in 2017.
Michaela will attend the University of South Carolina this fall, where she will study pre-nursing. Her range of accomplishments throughout her high school career includes the highest average in several classes and being named a 2024 University of South Carolina Upstate Junior Scholar.
